On December 1/2017 I went to my family physician complaining of a persistent sore throat. He prescribed an antibiotic but I was reluctant to jump on an antibiotic and told him I felt if an antibiotic is all I need I would be able to address it on my own although I told him this was different from any sore throats in the past and he said he would initiate an ENT referral in the meantime. I pushed through the Christmas holidays while still waiting for a consultation with ENT. I noticed that the back of my tongue along with the left lymph node seemed to be involved when blood appeared in the shower, I decided to admit myself to emergency hospital and met with the attending ER physician who I knew personally and he identified t what he thought to be throat cancer. He followed up with a CT scan which did later did confirm his initial premonition of throat cancer. I was then referred to an ENT oncologist who performed a biopsy and with the pathology, it was determined my cancer was Stage 3.

Due to my science background and working for one of the worlds’s largest pharmaceutical companies for over twenty years, and calling on specialists in almost every medical discipline I was well versed in standard care and the conventional approach to cancer including the overall very poor cure rates. I decided to pursue a holistic approach on my own since I had done research in this field for several years having lost both my parents to cancer. I started a complete cleansing and vegan lifestyle and consumption of organic foods removing all fibre with a major reduction of all processed carbohydrates and lowering all carbs inducing ketosis During my pilgrimage of exploring and tapping into several lifestyle changes I was referred to Don Baker and ReVibrancy from an associate Tom MacFarland.

But since this cancer has an 80% recurrence rate after initial remission he was concerned this would be the case. Mr treatments were were completed by October 2018. CT scans followed for several years. I reached the 5 yr survival in 2023 with no signs of cancer since October 2019.
